Frequently asked questions

DO I NEED TO SIGN UP AHEAD OF TIME?

If there is a link on the listed beach cleanup, please help us by pre-registering in advance. Otherwise, just show up to help us give back to our beautiful beaches and we'll have you sign a waiver when you check-in.

CAN I BRING MY KIDS, FRIENDS OR A GROUP?

Yes. For groups of 20+, just contact us and let us know how many you expect. Please read through the rest of the FAQ’s below before emailing. Kids of all ages are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult at all times. We cannot watch anyone once they are dropped off or cleaning the beach.

WHAT DO YOU PROVIDE?

We provide bags, gloves, tabulating sheets (to keep longitudinal track of litter data), and hand sanitizer.

DO I NEED TO BRING ANYTHING?

We recommend bringing a hat, sunblock, and water. If you have work gloves and a bucket or reusable bag you don't mind filling with trash, bring them along too!

DO I HAVE TO STAY THE WHOLE TWO HOURS?

Not at all, any amount of time you can donate is appreciated.

CAN YOU SIGN MY VOLUNTEER HOURS SHEET?

We would love to…but you MUST show us that you participated.

DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR PARKING?

Possibly, depending on the cleanup location. Check out our Facebook or Instagram page for site-specific details.

DO YOUR BEACH CLEANUPS CHANGE LOCATIONS?

Yes, we are moving our beach cleanups around quite a bit to include all of Monterey County. Always check the locations here or on Facebook/Instagram before heading out to the cleanup.

DO YOU EVER CANCEL OR RESCHEDULE A BEACH CLEANUP DUE TO THE WEATHER?

Our Beach Clean Ups are rarely canceled due to weather. Should such be the case, it will be posted on our website and Instagram/Facebook.

All volunteers are welcome to participate and must sign a Liability Waiver that will be available at the beach for you to sign.
