Surfrider Monterey County
Our MissionWhere the land meets the sea
What We Fight For
Reducing the impact of plastics in the marine environments that surround us.
Defending our oceans from challenges threatening the vitality of the ecosystem.
Working with decision-makers to ensure full and fair beach access for all to enjoy.
Coast & Climate
Taking on issues that threaten our beaches and natural shorelines.
Protecting the health and sustainability of our planet's most precious resource.
The Surfrider Foundation is dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the world’s ocean, waves and beaches, for all people, through a powerful activist network.
Monthly Beach Clean-Ups
We host a monthly beach clean-up typically on fourth Sundays at 10AM. Join us! All are welcome.

Join Our Network
We're always looking for volunteers to help affect change locally. Join us.
Blue Beers Mixers
All are invited to hang out with our team and volunteers to connect with other ocean-lovers in the community. Our Blue Beers Mixers are typically on Thursdays at rotating pubs or Asilomar for a beach bonfire!
Surf Report on KRML Radio
Listen to our local Surfrider Surf Report on weekday mornings around 8:45 AM on 94.7 KRML -- "the local station for Monterey Bay". Our chapter chairman Jeff White is the radio anchor and gives the forecast on the surf conditions and shares about upcoming Surfrider events. The programming is made possible by our community sponsor Cypress Coast Subaru.
The Surfrider Foundation is committed to fostering a just, equitable, diverse and inclusive organization for all people who protect and enjoy the world’s ocean, waves and beaches.
Your support will help us get one step closer to our vision of protecting 100% of our coasts.
