Welcome to the Monterey Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation. Maybe you’ve seen us at the beach, hosting a cleanup, or working to terminate the Cemex sand mining plant in Marina. Maybe you caught our booth at the West End Celebration or helped us ban single use Styrofoam to-go containers or plastic bags around Monterey County.
At Surfrider Monterey, we’re always doing something to protect our coastline – the beaches we enjoy so much, the ocean we surf, swim, and play in, and the amazing sea creatures that live in the bay.
Surfrider Chapters are all volunteer – WE ARE YOU. Want to join? We’d love to have you!
Explore our site to learn about the programs and campaigns we are working on, and how you can get involved. Come out to our quarterly’ish Chapter meetings, greet other ocean activists and discuss the latest and greatest local Surfrider happenings over appetizers and wine.
